DANOBAT and Marathon introduced a new, revolutionary machining concept for the complete machining of valve and choke bodies and pumps in a single set-up.

The VALVECENTER series of CNC machines, developed by LEALDE, a member of the DANOBAT Group of Spain, perform the complete machining of valve, choke and pump bodies in one clamping, reducing cycle times, eliminating lengthy work in process times, in-process inventory and increasing flexibility of production and product quality. The Valvecenter promises cycle times which are a third or less of machining times achieved on a combination of CNC lathes and horizontal machining centers.

The VALVECENTER is a flexible, stand-alone CNC machine uniting the turning, milling and drilling/tapping process:
The valve body is clamped in the indexing chuck of the turning center performing the turning, boring and facing operations. There is a turning unit for the turning tool. The machine also features two CNC horizontal machining spindles performing the drilling, tapping and milling operations on the same part. There is a tool magazine for 48 tools and a tool changer arm to change the tools for the turning and milling/drilling units as well.
All the operations are carried out in one setup, clamping the part in a hydraulic indexing chuck, that is a standard accessory of the machine. The valve body will only be removed from the indexing chuck, when it is completely finished!
