The new model 850 of the highly sophisticated multi tasking machining centers (mpmc) from Weingärtner is a versatile turning-milling machine which facilitates several cutting technologies on the same machine tool.
It enables the completion and inspection of high demanding components by any combination of turning, milling, drilling or whirling method. The change over of the heads is performed by the well proven pick up concept where the unit is fully automatically connected with the main drive unit within minutes. The totally integrated automatic tool changer (ATC) completes the portfolio of today's and tomorrow’s required cutting processes.
This flexibility in combination with the ridged machine base and a powerful 3D CAD/CAM system called WeinCAD enables the most economical production of any workpiece up to 900 mm (35,4 inch) in diameter at a length of up to 10 m (30 feet).
Powerful 5 axis turning and milling operations with high stock removal as required for machining complicated downhole tool components for the oil industry, cylinders for the extrusion industry, turbines, mining parts, crank shafts or generator bars for power plants can be easily programmed, simulated and cut in the most economical way.
