The FERMAT WRF 130 / 150 Models represent the newest technology and concept of Floor-Type, Horizontal Boring Mills that are currently available on the global marketplace. Its powerful headstock consists of a movable slide Ram (Z-axis), and moveable Live Quill (W-axis). Ram deflection is automatically compensated. The machine fearures a traveling column along the X-axis and cross sliding Rotary Table (V-axis/B-axis). The CNC Rotary Table, with table sizes 2 000x2 000 mm (78.74“ x 78.74“), 2 000x2 500 mm (78.74“ x 98.42“), 2 000x3 000 mm (78.74“ x 118“) or 2 500x3 000 mm (98.42“ x 118“), can hold heavy workpieces of up to 25 000 kg (55,115 lbs). Even heavier work pieces can be clamped on floor plates.

The following axes travels are available to choose from:

Outstanding features of the WRF models:

Heavy Duty RAM type spindle with live quill that is moved with two ball screws and two servo motors on the Y axis:

Linear ways with heavy duty roller bearings provide high accuracy and stick slip free motion on all axes. The X movement of the column is achieved with preloaded Rack & Pinion drive featuring two pinions driven by two motors providing backlash free travel.

The rotary movement of the table is provided by two pinions. Standard equipment is two pinion system with two servo motors. The rotary table increment is 0.001° at a table load bearing capacity of 55,000 lbs.

Powerful spindle motor (55 / 80 hp) coupled with ZF gearbox

FANUC 31i or Heidenhain iTNC-530 or Siemens 840D CNC control systems

60, 90 or 120 ATC is vailable

A comfortable operator cabin is traveling along the column providing unobstructed and safe view of the work space
